About Me

Education

I graduated from San Francisco State University in 2001 with a BA in Psychology. I then migrated my life to the entertainment industry and received my BA in Film and Television in 2006. After several years working as a television editor, I felt myself being pulled back to psychology, so I returned to college and received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles in 2018.
Natalie Procter - Therapy for Weird People

Natalie Procter, AMFT

Why I do this:

I received the gift of an exceptional therapist many years ago. Thanks to the work we do together, I have managed to make significant positive changes in my life that I previously thought were impossible to make. My hope is that everyone can experience a therapeutic alliance as great as this.

How I work:

Because you are unique, my style of therapy is tailored to your individual needs. In general, I am a solution-focused therapist who works with postmodern theories. We talk about whatever you want and work towards creating the life you want. The most important part of therapy is you: your story, your life, and your experiences. They all paint a picture and I, as an outsider, may be able to notice parts of that picture that have gone unnoticed or untouched.

We would be a good fit if:

You’re weird or you feel different, unseen, or unheard–or you just feel. Any problem, big or small, can seem overwhelming. You are not the problem; the problem is the problem. Let’s journey outside of the problem and see what happens. Everything you need is within you, but sometimes you just need a little assist to bring these things out.
